Congratulations to Aisling Rowlands on securing a place on The Irish National Swim Squad for 2018/2019

This is fantastic news. Well done Aisling on another great achievement and best of luck with your training. Aisling is the joint youngest member of the squad along with Ellie Mccartney from Northern Ireland.

There are two groups in the squad. One older group is being trained for selection for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the other group is for consideration for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Aisling is in the Paris (Olympics) 2024 Pathway Performance Group. 

Aisling did extremely well in the 2018 Irish National Summer championships in late July winning four Irish National titles (Golds) in her age group in the 50M, 100M and 200M freestyle and 100 M backstroke. In addition, she obtained two further golds in the team relay events.
