Young Economist of the Year

Congratulations to Holly Hewson (5th Year), who won first prize for presenting her Young Economist of the Year project in UCD today. Holly's project, titled '(P)in(k)flation: Do rapid inflation rates widen gender inequality in Ireland?' won a Gold Award, which allowed her to showcase her project along with 200 other students in O'Reilly Hall in UCD. Holly was subsequently awarded the University of Limerick Award for Inclusion as well as the prize for Overall Winner of the Young Economist of the Year 2023. This is an incredible achievement and Rathdown could not be prouder of all the hard work she put into her project. Well done, Holly!
